Ya, I’m Good

Ok, so that Apple Event, ya, I'm Good

No surprises here on what was coming or how much it would cost. And maybe no surprise to the reactions I've read today. Apple People are really oblivious to the rest of the world.

I feel especially in North America, many are just not understanding the facts of what is happening. I'm sure in the next few months they will understand the differences between need and want. Nothing announced today at this Apple Event is a need.

The Apple Event to me is a distraction and some nostalgia feelings, but that is my issue to deal with another day. Once this event passes, the world hits us again with its daily shit and reminds us again why we were sad or depressed a couple of hours ago.

North America and its desire to buy, buy, and buy never ends. We have enjoyed a nice trip for decades of cheap material goods. It wasn't like this before but we were so young to care back then. We made due to hand me down clothes, and electronics that lasted a very long time that we never had to think about annual upgrades. Our parents were concerned with paying bills and putting food on the table. Well, most parents.

So, we don't need all of this Apple stuff and higher prices is a good thing I hope to curb the excessive consumerism in North America. Back to the old days when only your rich friend's family had all the cool things and not a 6 year old unboxing their new iPhone 17 on YouTube or TikTok.

Ya, I'm Good.
